Love how the entire story is from Jonah's POV

Too many ups and downs, ESPECIALLY the ending

Bottom Line

If there’s going to be so many ups and downs. Have a tremendous pay off in the end, where it feels like it was worth the struggle. This did not.

“In Love with A Master” left me in total shock. Definitely different than book one. Book one was exciting, sexy and fun. Book two is more sadness. Still had some sexiness & I could tell some moments were added that made book one so likable, but I literally had to pause for a minute and absorb what just happened at the end. This book leaves you feeling emotions that one rarely feels after finishing a book and that’s sadness and a bit of anger.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the author’s writing style. I think Jason Luke was absolutely brilliant putting together these books. They were fascinating, mesmerizing and so intriguing that I just couldn’t turn away. What makes them even more interesting is knowing that the author has experience at being a real life Dom, but I just can’t believe what happens at the end. I can’t believe that the writer takes you through all of these ups and downs with your heart like a yo yo, gives you moments of hope and then completely shatters it again! That’s the part that angers me. It basically feels like your emotions gets played with and I don’t like that. I feel that if there’s going to be so many ups and downs, have a tremendous pay off in the end, where it feels like it was worth the struggle.

The first half of this book was a bit of a slow starter and also very sad. There’s a lot of difficult real life decisions going on here. “In Love With A Master” isn’t really a happy, light kind of read, its dramatic, gloomy and heavy. I felt like it started picking up, getting a bit more exciting when they started up the interview route again. I love the vibe when Leticia is interviewing Jonah. It feels as if Jonah is talking directly to you and he has such a way with words. So proactive, addicting and just plain hot! I can’t get enough of his interviews.

All in all a great book, but in the end this story left me feeling sad, heartbroken and angry at the outcome.

Aboutthe author fancy
Jason Luke is an Australian author who began writing in September 2013 at the suggestion of his longtime girlfriend. ‘Interview with a Master’ is Jason’s first erotic BDSM novel.

Jason Luke enjoyed several years involved in the BDSM lifestyle – but he is quick to point out that his experiences don’t qualify him as an expert; any more than knowing how to drive a car makes him a qualified mechanic. ‘Interview with a Master’ is a novel about how one man became a Master. The book is a work of fiction, but Jason has drawn heavily on encounters from his own real life. He won’t say which parts of the book are fictionalized, and which parts are auto-biographical.

Before taking up writing, Jason worked 6 days a week, 12 hours a day running a variety of retail businesses.
He has lived in Sydney all his life.
His favourite bands are U2 and INXS.
