This is a genuinely good all around story. There's hot sex but yet it tells an actual story that touches your heart at the same time.

Not really a negative, but I wish there was more sexy scenes . lol

Bottom Line

If you are a fan of the Happily Ever After and are looking for a genuinely all around good story that will tug at your heart strings, “Beck ” is the book for you!

Book Blurb

I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have..

So I did the only thing I know how to do.  I run.  But he just won’t let me go.

The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.
To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it.

Where to begin with this story? Its a bit less steamy than what I’m used to from Harper Sloan, but that doesn’t make it any less of a great book! It was packed full of emotion that I didn’t see coming. In the “Axel” and “Cage” books, Dee always comes across as the happy-go-lucky, fun girl that is a blast to hang around. I had no idea that she went through so much turmoil and tragedy and that she was carrying all that baggage around with her while hiding it from everyone else. She fooled everyone for a long while, except for Beck.

Beck, I loved him from the get go. He’s the perfect combination of sexy alpha male mixed with sensitivity and heart. He fought for their love. I loved that he never gave up on Dee no matter how much she pushed him away in the beginning. He never stopped fighting for them. While everyone else thought that they were just hooking up with each other, there was a lot more going on between them than than meets the eye.Once they managed to get on the same page, It felt like they were this unstoppable unit that could weather any hardship that came their way. Harper threw us a curved ball that I did not see coming. I won’t give it away….But wow it changes the whole dynamic and brings a deeper feel to the story.

The sex in “Beck” was hot! Yet I felt it could’ve been a bit hotter. I think “Cage” was sexier in the hot sex department but it was still pretty steamy although it didn’t totally blow me away. I’m interested in seeing what happens with Ashter and Celcie next. I need to know more about them too. As always, I love Sway and the whole Corps Security gang! I really enjoy the interactions they have with one another.

We'd Love to hear your thoughts
