Book Blurb

Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.
Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wall-banging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and–was that a meow?–punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O.

Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wall-banging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick…

In her third novel, Alice Clayton returns to dish her trademark mix of silly and steamy. Banter, barbs, and strutting pussycats, plus the sexiest apple pie ever made, are dunked in a hot tub and set against the gorgeous San Francisco skyline in this hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.

Caroline Reynolds has it all, she’s smart, gorgeous, quick with the one-liners and can back a mean zuchini bread with the help of her beloved mixer. However her good friend “O” has left her after a bad experience with a pity screw who was more like a jackrabbit.

Caroline can’t believe it when she is awaken in the middle of the night by her neighbor’s serious wall-banging and the myriad of females and their loud sounds of love. will Caroline finally get a peak at this elusive wall banger and better yet, will she ever be reunited with her elusive “O.”

I absolutely adored this novel….Delightfully delicious and laugh out loud hilarious..need I say more? I was so engrossed in this story, I was up until the wee hours of the morning trying to finish the book, that is until my eyelids told me they weren’t having it and refused to remain open for me!

Wall banger is very well written with multi-faceted characters that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I felt an instant connection with the characters and the easy banter amongst them kept me engaged and wanting more until the very end!

The interaction between “Wall banger” and “Nightie girl” was like a breath of fresh air. The witty one-liners, flirty and full of sexual innuendo, coupled with The slow build up to romance is the stuff, good novels are made of! I was hooked from the very first “meow”! This book has it all, humor, romance, friendship… the whole shebang!

The supporting cast of characters, Mimi, Neil, Jillian, Benjamin, Sophia, Ryan and oh yes, can’t forget that fury feline Clive, were the prefect complement to Caroline and Simon and I found myself wanting to hang out with them. Alright…I know I need to get a life, but these characters are the friends we all should have! There I go feeling all warm and fuzzy again.

Clayton has the uncanny ability to blend sexy with humor in just the right amount to draw the reader in and keep them hooked. This book was laugh out loud funny and I’m sure that if God forbid, Clayton ever gave up writing, she could so find a career as a stand up comedian. I mean even her acknowledgements are humorous. I’d go see her. *end author gush here*

Overall, if you love “quirky” romances with a hefty dose of humor you will absolutely love WallBanger
